Rompers and Ankle Boots

If you haven’t guessed yet, I am totally obsessed with Forever 21. I have to say that maybe a good 50% of my closet is filled with their products. So I’m doing what I call “Rock the Romp”. This romper is from forever 21. I am well aware that I need to take a trip to the barber shop. **Said with much sarcasm** The perks of having fast growing hair when you really want to keep it shaved.

Polka Dot Thickness

I signed my name on that DOTTED line, with THICKNESS not SHYNESS.

When I looked in the mirror that morning, I had a moment of shyness where I almost ran for a cardigan. An extra-long bulky cardigan, but of course I put my big girl panties on and sucked it up, walked out that door with my head held up high.
The dress is a peplum from forever 21 plus. The earrings and necklace are my hand made creations.

 Score: Courtney-100,000,000. Shyness-0.

Roar!!!

This kitty don't MEOW, she ROARS
Ever notice that the shyest person is always the one person that ends up having the loudest mouth and the craziest things to say? Well that’s me once I drop my walls and kick back. Depending on the situation, that happens fairly quickly. Which brings me to my point, at work my presence was known and I made sure of that. Not only my pants, edgy haircut, or my statement necklace played a part in it but, I had personality both visually and verbally. I meant business. I had to take it down a notch so I wore my black wedges and sleeveless-button-down shirt with three simple bangles. The oversized cardigan was a key item to battle New York’s crazy, kooky weather.
I AM COURTNEY, HEAR ME ROOOOOOAR!!!!!!!

Neon Spikes

Look at my POP of color.
In NYC, it has reached 84o! After the horrible winter, I thought it couldn't be possible, but my skepticism has been proven wrong. All this ranting about warm weather and I still wear a hat. A neon green one with spikes that actually makes me stick out more than my shaved head. I will continue to wear hats until I find the time to get my hair done. (So no judging please.) I've been really busy with term papers and finals, but as I promised before I will post more. I hate breaking promises.

I wanted to go simple with my dress and cardigan because the hat and spikes are so BOLD. The three-in-a-row spike bracelet and earrings are all stuff I made. Both of my single row spike bracelets was a gift from my mom and the watch was a gift from my grandmother.
I sit here in spikes (I Don't Bite, I Promise)…

Rebel Flag

Waving the flag, the REBEL flag.
At first, I was so fearful of wearing these bold leggings. Now as I look at these photos, I am so happy I put the shyness away to wear them! Though, it is time to update my converses. (They are falling apart from the six years of wear and tear!)
The shirt is a little bit see through and I just went with a really pretty bra underneath.

Peek-A-Boo! I see my underwire!!!!!

Errand Run

“I swear, I will post more…”

Living in New York City has its perks, but this winter had me rethinking those perks! I suffered with cabin fever all winter long, so now that it’s warming up I’m ecstatic!

I’ve always wanted a pair of animal print shoes, and now I am a proud owner. Overall I think this look was perfect for running errands, or in my case, running home to finish off my essays for my classes.

NOTE: I don’t think the professors got the memo that it was spring break! L

Grab 'N Go

I literately grab clothes and go. I don't put much of a thought process into majority of my outfits but, that's the best thing about my non-existent technique.

If I could I would wear converses in the rain, snow, sleet, hail, and everything else… I would. But I won't for the simple fact it's not practical or safe L.

Most outfits I put together really don't have a story, I usually grab and go. So nothing much to say about this outfit.

NOTE: I have love for these converses…

Last Minutely Rushed

The best outfits always seems to be the one that was last minutely rushed.

Through-out my closet there is a lot of black, so why not go head to toe black for this look…
Anyways, this outfit came together pretty well. I was running late for school and needed to put on as less as possible. In the beginning I only had the dress, shoes, hat and studs on, but just as I was on my way out the door I realized that the outfit was too plain.

I went to my jewelry box and immediately knew what to add to the outfit… my cross ear cuffs (made by me) and my forever 21 bracelet. As I was looking in my mirror I noticed that my stomach looked weird so I put on a belt and I was out the door. Lips: Revlon Black Cherry.

NOTE: Sometimes accessories can beef-up a outfit or bring it down into the sewers.

Trash Littered Streets

Trash littered streets, parking lot discrete, awkward posing elite.

I know I'm not the best when it comes to posing, but I think my outfit makes up for it. It's funny though I didn't realize I had my iPod on until after the shot but, I think it works with this outfit (listening Ellie Goulding never cramps a girl's style). I actually based this outfit off of the head scarf, since lately I just don't have time for my hair.

I thought black would be a nice color to tame the loud colors of my scarf. But, then all the black just looked very blah to me, so I added the denim vest.

As usual accessorizing came easy, I decided to wear the bracelet I made and a pair of big hoop earrings.

NOTE: Trash littered streets don't kill my flow… My shyness does.

Fierce in Manhattan

I play hard in Brooklyn but, I play harder in Manhattan (Heads Out The Gutter People LOL).

Lately I've been in Manhattan more than I've been in Brooklyn, specifically the Village. Anyways, I've been dying to wear my Harley Davidson boots and what's better than pairing them with my prized possession, my Fedora. Originally I was just going to wear a Bandeau top under the shirt, since the pants where high waisted but, thanks to the gigantic balloons attached to my chest the buttons kept pulling. After the many failed attempts to get my buttons straightened out, I opted for a tank top.

Accessorizing came easily. I just threw on my cuff bracelet, some earrings I made and my Just Fab Fearless clutch.

I always have fun in my home borough Brooklyn, but for some reason that Manhattan just has my heart.

NOTE: Be careful when buying off Just Fab because, if you don't make sure you skip the month you will be charged. So, people ALWAYS READ THE FINE PRINT BEFORE PUTTING YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO OR ANY INFO ANYWHERE.

Feeling Invincible, While Stomping Ants

I was feeling totally invincible in this outfit. Like I could stomp every grain in the sidewalk and every ant running in between them. Though whenever I got a compliment, I blushed (Go Figure).

I was looking through my closet screaming "I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR!" Knowing that I'm literately looking at wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling stacks of clothes. I ended up pulling out a pair of boots and some stockings, scratching my head like WTF am I going to do with this. Then it hit me, "DUH" a dress. After going through numerous dresses and slaps on the fore head, I looked at my white skirt I seldom wear. Then my favorite white tank top, that I end up replacing every year.

See now this was a challenge, none of my cardigans really went with the look I was going for. I was kind of going for the tough chick with a little sweetness. The cardigans just put too much sweet for my tastes. So I stared at my boots, wondering if I should just wear my converses and just go with the sweetness. Staring at my boots gave me the perfect idea to just put on my Moto Jacket I bought a few years ago.

The rest was easy, I styled my outfit with earrings I made and some bracelets also made by me and I was totally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. In fact, I was feeling totally invincible in this outfit. Like I could stomp every grain in the sidewalk and every ant running in between them. Though whenever I got a compliment, I blushed (Go Figure).

NOTE: THERE WERE NO ANTS HARMED WHILE WEARING THIS OUTFIT.
